I am an Australian documentary photographer, based in South Florida, USA. My work explores narratives of childhood and family life -including my relationship with my own two children. It is typically very observational. I am interested in the ways we confront our own fragility and wonder, no matter our age. My background as an artist is in film and theatre, which informs many aspects of my photography. Essentially, this theatre thread draws me to ordinary life moments that are somehow innocently imbued with meaning or mystery. I am convinced this leads us closer to our shared humanity; to the things we love, doubt, and fear. It is of value to me that these observations are often inexplicable, and should perhaps remain so.
